So this is what it's like to have a weblog

Hi all
This is my first post on my new weblog. I intend to use this to document my impending trip to China, spending 8 months playing snare drum at a new theme park in Southern China.
This is just to make sure that it works - I don't have time to tell the whole story of how this came about, as I still have a unit to put into storage.
